Use of Case in Inner Join in SQL Server

Posted By:Rajshree       Posted Date: October 25, 2010    Points: 15    Category: SQL Query    URL: http://www.dotnetspark.com

We can use Case in Inner join

SELECT
            PortalId,
            t.PNR,
            acc.AmountPaid,
            ps.AmountPaid,

        FROM
MYTransaction t INNER JOIN MYPaymentSummary ps on ps.TransactionId =
            CASE
            WHEN t.isPackageComponent=1
            THEN t.ParentTID
            WHEN t.isPackageComponent=0
            THEN t.TransactionID
            END
            INNER JOIN  dbo.AccountingHotels acc on t.TransactionId = acc.TransactionId

      END
