What is PDB and PID?

What is PDB and PID:

A program database file holds debugging and project state information
that allows incremental linking of a debug configuration of our program.

Meand PDB is Program Debug Data
This file contains mapping information between source code and code complaied into assembly.
This is basically determines which line in assembly maps to which line in source code.
You cannot debug our application without this file

-- Process ID
It is the process Id of the application in windows.whenever a process starts running in the windows environment it is
associated with a process ID
