Checks whether a given string is a numerical digit.

The following query checks whether a given string is a numerical digit.

SELECT  DECODE(TRANSLATE('A','1234567890','1111111111'), '1','YES', 'NO' );

The output will be, NO
    Here we are passing A as the string which is not a numerical digit. If we pass a digit it will display YES as in case of the following example.

SELECT  DECODE(TRANSLATE('7','1234567890','1111111111'), '1','YES', 'NO' );
