Posted By: Naresh     Posted Date: January 11, 2010    Points:2   Category :Sql Server
hi,
In my sql database , i have a column where , i have to auto increment the rows values automatically, like

book 1
book 2
book 3
book 4
.
.
.

I used the property identification for that column , but it is incremented in the order of

1
2
3
4
.
.

How can i modify it?

Hi,

I don't think you can do that using auto increment feature you have to save that id manually.

Have one identity column and add the prefix while query the data, Because i can see only one prefix book in it.

Thanks
Venkat
