ajax validatorcallout extender

Posted By: bitedevil     Posted Date: December 15, 2009    Points:2   Category :C#
is it possible to validate multiple validations using one validatorcallout?

Ex:- suppose there is a text box to capture password and need to be validated following.

Password should be
1. 6- 20 characters
2. Mix of letters, numbers or symbols.
3. Not similar to the userID etc..

is it possible using ajax validatorcallout extender? also it should appear with setting focus to the textbox and validation should take place while the user is entering values.

Please be kind enough to give me proper idea also I'm just a beginner.

Well you can not multiple Validation using one validator callout. but logically if you see you can perform (according to your given input) 1 and 2 using one regular expression validation control so for this you can have one Validator callout.

Hope this answer your question

You can use Multiple validatorcallout extender to validate One TextBox and it will give user the same feel if user entering wrong value.

You can try it out.

Multiple validations using one validatorcallout is not possible, since one object of validatorcallout can occupy one validation at a time.
