ASP.NET Application - Tracing

Posted By: Bhavna     Posted Date: October 31, 2009    Points:2   Category :ASP.Net
Hi,

We are working on an ASP.NET application and planned to use tracing.

Here I need few clarifications.

Is it the common practice that people use trace statements in .NET real time applications? If so could anyone please refer a document with standard way of writing these in real time web applications.

Many Thanks,

Regards.
Bhavna.

Hi Bhavna,

Yes while debugging the asp.net application you should use Trace statement it will help you a lot in improving application and other issue (If Any).

But, While deployment the application you should remove the Trace statement by adding the this lines of code in your web.config file

<trace enabled="false" pageOutput="false"/>

Thanks
Amit

Thanks,
Amit
