Hi,
Please find my answers below-
1)Difference between Dll and Assembly.
Ans- A DLL is an assembly, whereas an assembly can be a DLL, or EXE.
An assembly in ASP.NET is a collection of single or multiple files. An assembly that have more than one files cantains either DLL or Exe.

2. Strong name-
Strong Name is a technology introduced with the .NET platform and it brings many possibilities into .NET applications.
For more details u can visit -http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/8874/Strong-Names-Explained

3)What is mean by trigger in sql.
Trigger is like a stored procedure which executes in response to an operation on a table like create/update/delete etc.. It is like a database object which is associated to table and executes automatically.
4)can i do insert,update in view(Sql).
using view we can insert/upadte if it is linked with a single table. In case of multiple it is not possible.
5)what is use of viewstate in asp.net.
It is one of the important client side state management technique which can store the page value of your page at the time of post back.
To add variable in viewstate-
ViewState["variable"]=count;
to reterieve-
string s1=ViewState["variable"];

Happy learning..!

Hi,

1)Difference between Dll and Assembly.
Dll project independent and assembly is project specific.
An assembly is a collection of one or more files and one of them DLL or EXE.
DLL contains library code to be used by any program running on Windows. A DLL may contain either structured or object oriented libraries.
A DLL file can have a nearly infinite possible entry points.
Assembly present in bin can have either strong/weak Name and assembly in GAC Should have strong name.

2)what is mean by strong name.
Strong Name is a technology based on cryptographic principles, primary digital signatures

3)What is mean by trigger in sql.
A trigger is a special kind of a store procedure that executes in response to certain action on the table like insertion, deletion or updation of data. It is a database object which is bound to a table and is executed automatically. You can't explicitly invoke triggers. The only way to do this is by performing the required action no the table that they are assigned to.

4)can i do insert,update in view(Sql).
When modifying data through a view (that is, using INSERT or UPDATE statements) certain limitations exist depending upon the type of view. Views that access multiple tables can only modify one of the tables in the view. Views that use functions, specify DISTINCT, or utilize the GROUP BY clause may not be updated

5)what is use of viewstate in asp.net.
View state is the method that the ASP.NET page framework uses to preserve page and control values between round trips. When the HTML markup for the page is rendered, the current state of the page and values that must be retained during postback are serialized into base64-encoded strings. This information is then put into the view state hidden field or fields.

6)difference bw viewstate,session and querystring.
ViewState values are carried b/w single page.
Query String can transfer values from one page to another, The Drawback is the values will be appended in url & when we transfer big value it will be slow. Session can transfer values anywhere inside the project.

7)what is mean by authentication,authorization.
An authentication system is how you identify yourself to the computer.
Once the system knows who the user is through authentication, authorization is how the system decides what the user can do.

9)difference bw framework and platform.
Framework:

A software framework, in computer programming, is an abstraction in which common code providing generic functionality can be selectively overridden or specialized by user code providing specific functionality. Frameworks are a special case of software libraries in that they are reusable abstractions of code wrapped in a well-defined Application programming interface (API), yet they contain some key distinguishing features that separate them from normal libraries.

Platform:

In computing, a platform describes some sort of hardware architecture and software framework (including application frameworks), that allows software to run. Typical platforms include a computer's architecture, operating system, programming languages and related user interface (runtime libraries or graphical user interface).
