How to Hide web page exntesion(.aspx)

Posted By: Mek     Posted Date: December 31, 2012    Points:5   Category :ASP.Net
Hello,

First of all Wishing you a Happy New Year.

I want to hide the extension (.aspx) from the url,i think it has something to do with url-rewriting. But i dont know how to use url-reriting. Apart from this is there any other way to acheive this hiding url.

ex. normally a http://www.abcd.com/contact.aspx is asp.net page but i want this page to be like http://www.abcd.com/contact "url with no exntension at the end". I hope my point is clear.

Hoping for a solution.

Regards,
Mek

Hi,
try this Sample Code
using System.Text.RegularExpressions;

 string str = "http://www.abcd.com/contact.aspx ";
Regex Splitter = new Regex(".aspx");
String[] Parts = Splitter.Split(str);
