Hi Rama Krishna,

Deployment is the process of taking the application and installing it in on another machine, usually by the use of a setup application.

You can deploy an ASP.NET Web application using any one of the following three deployment options.

1) XCOPY Deployment
2) Using the Copy Project option in Visual Studio.NET
3) Deployment using installer

Thanks,
Amit

Hi
Deployment :Process of installing an application, content, or service to one or more computer systems. Either XCOPY or the Windows Installer is used for deployment in .NET. System Management Server can be used for more complex deployments.

hi friend...
As others told deployment is the process of putting the developed application to another system or client system where ever the application is needed. Deployment is different ways for different project/product according to the behavior like windows application/web etc

Generally deployment is done as setup files... Anyway Visual studio support msi, cab etc..
