There is big difference between among both of them Visual Web Developer is a web design portion of Visual Studio.while Visual Studio is an integrated development environment includes a number of components, Visual C#, Visual C++, Visual Web Developer.However it contains the whole development enviorments including Mobile app development tools and supports XML/XSLT, HTML/XHTML, JavaScript and CSS etc.
