Why foreign key is not supported in temp tables ?

came across the question in this portal which says we cannot have foreign key constraint in temp table. can anyone knows the reason why it is not supported?

Hi,

Temp table is temporary table and resides in memory. and there is no need for foreign key because you can add/edit/delete temp table anytime and the scope of the temp table of the execution of the stored procedure.
