how can i get an auto generated empid from database

i am trying to insert the data from asp.net page with the fields of name,address,mobile job ,location.
in the table i have empid(primary key,identity increm..) column with this fields ... so after inserting the data i need to display the empid to the user in asp.net ...

just open your sql server and click on empid and than set auto identification ..

In column properties of empid column, set Identity specification to "Yes"
