Please check the IIS using inetmgr command in run prompt, and check whether your default website is started or not?

Else you can check the system event log for IIS, you can use eventvwr command in run prompt.

Hope this helps.

check ny these way as

Go to Start - Settings - Control Panel - Administrative Tools
If you have 'Internet Information Services' shortcut click it and you can see all info you need about IIS.
If you do not have the shortcut then you either do not have IIS on your PC, or you can click
Start - Settings - Control Panel - Services

and try to find IIS Admin (it should be Started). For IIS you need to have a Windows XP Professional edition
or (Vista Professional). Home edition does not have IIS.
If you have Professional edition and still can't see IIS then go to
Control Panel - Add Or Remove Programs - Add or Remove windows Components, select IIS, click Next.

u can also go as

go to Start->Run type inetmgr and press OK. If you get an IIS configuration screen. It is installed, otherwise it isn't.

You can also check ControlPanel->Add Remove Programs, Click Add Remove Windows Components and look for IIS in the list of installed components.

Thanks & Regards,
