White Box : Testing with full knowledge of the software internals. Know the source code, architecture and design, and configuration files. Usually performed by QA.

Unit Testing : The programmer performs a detailed evaluation of the code modules and code functions. This type of testing requires knowledge of program algoritham and implementation. Ususally performed by developer which then sends to testing team. Unit testing is also part of white box testing.

hope this helps.

Unit Testing: Kind of testing generally done by developer it self to check basic functionality. For example whatever functionality has been described in Required specification document is properly working or not?
In short Check for output as per desired situation.

White Box Testing: White testing means testing is done on the basis of code and logic. In this case everything is open for tester.

Black Box testing: Without checking code, go for check functionality and find out any loop wholes in code. Try to find out scenario when page can generates exception.

"white box" testing is testing with explicit knowledge of the logic of the solution irrespective of who, when or to what interfaces this testing in performed.
unit testing can be white box or black box testing but is more usually white box (since the person writing has also generally written the code)

try to ignore the recent trend of no-nothing bloggers to refer to "white box" testing as testing which utilises internal interfaces.
