Posted By: Aruna     Posted Date: June 14, 2011    Points:5   Category :SharePoint

i have a custom list which is used to track the trainings allocated to the employees. in which i have a column name trainings assigned which is a lookup field from another list training details.
in training details list, i have the following columns
1. training name
2.expected strt date
3.expected end date
4. actual strt date
5.actual end date
6.course content
7.status of the training.

when i do look up i can get the training name alone.
is there a way if i select the training name, i shld get all the other field values like its strt date, end date details also listed up in a list in any way?

You want to display the same row name in the text box when user selects the number in the dropdown. Add following rule to the Dropdown box.

1)Open dropdown box Properties.
2)Select Rule and Click on "Add action" button.
3)Select "Set a Field Value" from First dropdown.
4)Select "Text box field" xpath in "Field" text box.
5)Enter following function values text box.
"@name[Dropdown = @number]"

name-à Name from the SharePoint list

number à Number from the SharePoint list

Dropdown à Your dropdown field xpath

Thanks & Regards,
