SSIS Custom Connector usage error

Posted By: dcorbit     Posted Date: May 12, 2011    Points:5   Category :Sql Server
Using the sample code for the custom connector SqlConnMgrCS:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345276.aspx

It builds fine and installs into the GAC, and I restarted service SQL Server Integration Services, but I get the following error when I try to add the custom connection:

===================================

The new connection manager could not be created. (Microsoft Visual Studio)

===================================

The given assembly name or codebase was invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131047) (mscorlib)

at Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.Design.ConnectionManagerDesigner.OnNewConnectionAdded(ConnectionManagerUIArgs connectionUIArg)
at Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.Design.DtsConnectionService.CreateConnection(String connectionType, ConnectionManagerUIArgs connectionUIArg)

Since I assume that the sample code has been properly tested, I wonder what procedural step am I missing?
