I noticed that cisvc.exe is taking lots of my cpu time. Sometimes it is utilizing almost all my cpu.

Hi,
cisvc.exe is Windows Operating system process. its not virus or spy ware. It is used to monitor the memory usage prevent low memory problems. This is an important system process and should not be removed or killed.

I suggest you to increase virtual memory also defragment you hard drive.

I am having the same Problem. I searched on net and found that if we reduce the priority of cisvc.exe then the problem can be solved. Is it a good alternative? If yes then can you plz suggest how can i do it?

Hi,
Yes you can set the priority to low by default it will be 10. you can set to your own using below steps

Step 1) Double-click the System icon in the Control Panel.
Step 2) Choose the Performance tab of the System Properties dialog box.
Step 3) Adjust the Boost slide bar under "Application Performance" and click OK.
