how to restrict input of a textbox from scanner

hi

can any body plz telll me how to restrict scanning of a textbox which is not read only
means inputs can be allowed by keyboard but not by barcode scanner...

it's urgent......

If your scanner allows it (I believe most do), configure it to prepend a special character to the output.
Then test for that character in the change event.
As I understand it, there is no other way, since most (if not all) scanner drivers are designed to make the device look just like any other HID to your application.
If you find a better way, please post it.
