Hi

You have two chance to send mail from SQL Server

1. SQL Server Mail
- It works with API

2. Database Mail
- It works with SMTP
- Use sp_send_dbmail system stored procedure to send mail from sql server.

It's better to use Database Mail by configuring the Database Mail.
But, It is not available in SQL Server Express Edition.

Cheers

If not I then who, If not now then when
