MOSS List Items

Posted By: Aruna     Posted Date: March 24, 2011    Points:5   Category :SharePoint

i have a custom list in which all the employees of the organization are uploading their resumes.
once the employees are resigned, i need to delete their resumes from the list and moved to the separate document library.
i should delete their resumes based on their employee id(which is a column in my custom list) which i will be having in excel sheet.

my server is in remote location so using web service is preferred rather than object model.

Any idea/suggestions on how to proceed further?

I think you can write an small windows application which will fetch all your employees data from excel and based on your selection of employee id you can first copy that resume to other document library and then you delete it from your custom list.

You can use SharePoint Client Object Model

Hope this helps
