Hi Sethuraman,

You can host asp.net mvc application on IIS 5 with a little change in the request routing.

ASP.Net MVC URL rewriting will not work on IIS 5 as the IIS server never routes the request to ASP.Net.
You need to explicitly map all request to asp.net.

To achieve this,
1. Go to inetmgr.exe.

2. Right click on the virtual directory and select properties.

3. Select Virtual Directory Tab and select configuration.

4. On the mapping tab, click Add. The Add/Edit Application Extension Mapping dialog box is displayed.

5. In the Executable box, select the Aspnet_isapi.dll from "%windir%:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll".

Hope it helps.
