Hi,

Simply instruct the web server to redirect the browser to new url.

This you can achieve by using below steps :

1. Open IIS and right click on the website and select properties.

2. Under The content for this source should come from, click A redirection to a URL and in the redirection box type Url of the new site.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

You can use Content Editor webpart to achieve this.
put <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="10;url=http://mossportal.com/Sites/HR/Pages/default.aspx"> on content editor webpart.

Use SPUtility.Redirect method with Sharepoint object model.

Apart from this you can also achieve this using Alternate Access Mapping .

Hope it helps.
