What is the difference between RenderControl and RenderChildren in asp.net?

Hi,
Render Control -- Outputs server control content and stores tracing information about the control if tracing is enabled.
Render Children -- Outputs the content of a server control's children to a provided HtmlTextWriter object, which writes the content to be rendered on the client.
