Store Time-in and Time-out details in Database

Hello Everyone! I am doing Employee Attendance Register in vb.net. I am storing the details into SQL Server 2005. Now,i wanted to save the In-time and Out-time details of an employee. I dont know,which kind of datatype should be used for In-time and Out-time details(But tried "datetime" datatype,its storing like 'mm-dd-yyyy').Help me!!!!

Can you let me know that how you are getting the time? Actually, I want to know the format of your time data and also let me know how these data will be used at later time?

Just let me know this much and then I will suggest you a good way.
