How to remove the lookup id displayed in spreadsheet separated by ;#id in custom list moss 2007

I have a custom list which has a lookup field from another list in the same site with allow multiple values option enabled. when i am exporting the list items to spreadsheet, value of the field along with lookup id is displayed ";#id".how to overcome this problem.
the problem occurs with allowing multiple values in lookup.....Any one who faced the similar issue?
Any solution through OOTB features...since am not using any customizations
