What type of webcam you are using. Is it a IP camera or normal web cam attached to the server?

If your Webcam provides a web interface or any API then you can access it.
ASAIK it requires a remote access in this case.

did you find any solution to your problem?
i have something similar, maybe even the same.
i want to turn on and control server's webcam from clients web browser.
my idea was the control to be through .net web services, which will send parameters to server,
the server to interpret them as webcam commands, so it will start streaming.
but i still didnt start with anything, since i need more information.

hello, i have a solution to this situation. There is a webcam sdk with you can stream the picture of your webcam through your lan or through the internet. You need a server application on a windows pc which is connected to the webcam. You can connect this server application with a client application that can be also developed with this camera sdk.
