Disco File being searched in localhost

Posted By: Dilip     Posted Date: June 11, 2010    Points:2   Category :WCF
Hi,

I wrote one small wcf application and self hosted in my localhost with http://localhost:9000/LinkService . Every thing works fine and the client is able to generate the proxy properly. Now I moved this application to another machine having ip as 162.56.236.71. There I hosted the service with no change in configuraton file.

I am able to access the service properly by giving http://162.56.236.71:9000/LinkService. But I see the wsdl still points to http://localhost:9000/LinkService?wsdl . It should ideally point to http://162.56.236.71:9000/LinkService?wsdl

This is reason why my client app not able search for the disco file. Why is it so. What shall I do in order to rectify.

Note: I have not recompiled the application in the new machine "162.56.236.71"

Regards,

Dilip

Hi,
Try changing endpoint address and baseAddresses in web.config file.

the base address is http://localhost:9000/LinkService. What do you expect the base address to be. I believe if it is localhost, it should take care of ip address of that particular machine where it is hosted.

Dilip
