how to change style of menu control in asp

I have developed menu control in asp.net 2010. I have problem in following task.
1. When i Add Submenu to menu then one rightsided menu rightsided arrow comes. I Dont want that arrow.
2. How to set Background IMage to asp menu item

You can do by this either through Javascript or through codebehind
From Javascript -- Using getelementid('').style
or From Codebehind ---There will be a seperate object for the user control in the codebehind.
